Creative Framing Services

 Needlework framing specialist

Needlework Framing is an ideal means of completing your needlework projects. All framing is fully reversible because no adhesive tapes or glues are used in the stretching process. Your needlework will be stretched onto an acid free foam core backing board and then traditionally laced with thread. The work is separated from the glass with acid free coloured mountboards or spacers, and also separated from the wooden frame with acid free foam core packing strips. The needlework is then sealed into the frame with an acid free backing board. This method of conservation framing ensures that your work will be preserved for many years to come.

Custom Mountboards and Frames are the way to ensure your work is displayed perfectly. We pay special attention to detail, and can offer expert advice (if required) on the selection of materials, colours and mountboard designs to compliment your works of art.

The UK Hand Knitting Association

The UK Hand Knitting Association, (formerly The British Hand Knitting Confederation) was formed in 1991 when the Hand Knitting Association (HKA) merged with the British Hand Knitting Association (BHKA). The BHKC's main aim was to raise the profile of hand knitting. It did this through 'Learn to Knit' classes held throughout the UK, 'Relax and Knit' stands at all the main Knitting and Sewing shows and by the introduction of National Competitions showcased at the Knitting and Sewing shows.

We are now at a stage where 'knitting' is the new 'buzz' word, knitting groups are mushrooming all over the country, knitting shops are opening back on the High Streets and on the Internet and exciting new yarns are being introduced by the season. None of this would have been possible without you, our knitters.
